Free Lay™ Carpet Backing System

Environmentally Friendly

Free Lay™ is a completely unique backing system that allows the installation of attached cushion carpet tiles without the use of adhesives. There are only a few steps necessary to use this system. First the substrate should be completely clean and dry. Next, the alkalinity should not go above 10 ph. Lastly, a **polymer must first be applied when used on concrete, plywood, metal or particle board. This system is revolutionary because it can be installed over hardwood, vinyl, vinyl tile, terrazzo, granite, marble, polished concrete and ceramic without polymer. Free Lay™ carpet tiles are a great way to cover up wood, vinyl, tile, or laminate floors without damaging them. Create a rug on top of them without hurting the surface. Take it up and move it, no problem.... change out the children's room without the expense of installation.

Basically, the system is like how a fly sticks to a wall. The active film on the backing material forms a bond on the polymer of flooring material, allowing the carpet to stay in place without the use of glue. There are no VOCs to be concerned with, nor any odd or unpleasant adhesive odors. The longer the carpet tile stays in place, the stronger the bond becomes, until it reaches maximum adhesion. However, the bond never becomes permanent and the carpet tile can be easily removed without any damage to the floor underneath. No longer is there concern about adhesive failure. The carpet becomes dimensionally stable. It allows for free-form design, nearly invisible seams or no seam peaking. Installations become faster and easier.

The technology was invented 10 years ago and was patented five years ago. Specialists have been working with it for over five years during which they have tried to make it fail and it hasn’t. Carpet tiles with this backing system can be installed in homes, businesses, offices, medical facilities, veterinarians' offices, and indoor golf instruction facilities. It is used in maufacturer's facilities, retail showrooms, churches and schools. It has been installed in many so-called "problem sites" and has perfomed flawlessly. At the end of the life-cylcle, removal is a breeze. Just pick up the old and lay down the new! |

RESIDENTIAL DELIVERY means the truck line brings the tile to the ground floor of your residential address
where you will need to make arrangements to carry the cases inside/upstairs.
Deliveries over 360 Sq. Ft. will be delivered by truckline.
You will need to have somebody at home that can receive the tiles and can help with the off loading of the tile cases.
The drivers will help off load the tiles but somebody should be available to assist.
The average weight of each case is approx. 40 lbs.**
